The bloke even said to her that he didn't even have any insurance over here but did back home in his country.
She's reported it to the police who didn't even come out but they did phone her so shes filled in their reports at the local station and to her insurance company.
She managed to get hold of the bloke again from his very limited details who seemed very sketchy (didn't know where he lived etc)

Even if he's being honest about it I believe it's very difficult to get any money out of them, I was hit by a foreign uninsured driver many years ago and got nothing - luckily it was a fairly cheap repair so I could get it done myself.
