So did you guys miss me? More importantly, did you even notice I was gone!? :lol:

I managed to keep up to date on UK/World news via the BBC News app on my iPod, but have there been any developments in the world of OJC I should know about?

Hows the clothing coming along, has Stav got his car back together yet? etc.

While I wait for the updates to start coming in, here's a few pictures I took on my phone while I was out there...

I may also put up some pictures of my training once I get the pics off other peoples camera's, but for obvious reasons I don't have pictures of myself on my own camera during training as I was kinda busy. :Bazza:

And also at some point I will upload a copy of my training schedule once I've finished typing it up, which will explain my reasoning for putting up the pictures of the stairs...

Place looks lovely.. can't believe you have the nerve to try n pull it off as a training trip though with Coke n that much icecream lol ... I'm guessing you had to run up those stairs a lot for that treat !

Aaah yes, should have said where I went.

I was staying at Alfamar Beach & Sport Resort near Albufeira in Portugal.

2 running tracks within 5 minutes walk (both with on site gyms), beach within 2 mins walk. Outdoor and indoor pools, sauna, jacuzzi, ice bath etc.

Here's a few pictures of a practice start I did during a track session last week, and of a quick gym session we did straight after. I'm yet to be sent any pictures of the 'real' gym work we did. (heavy free weights on olympic bars etc.)

Yes indeed, you been before? I was staying at a resort near Abufeira.

We were training primarily with another club from Germany who flew over during the same period. And they had us doing 2km runs down the beach every morning, before killing us with press ups and core exercises.

But the afternoon sessions run by our own coach were more speed/power based. So more short, fast runs and heavy weights etc.

It was a very nice place to be, it rained once for about half an hour the whole trip. Daytime temperature was about 17* at it's lowest Confused
