Assuming of course that it physically fits, could an IS250 steering wheel be wired up to make use of the stereo control buttons?

And if you had a 300 with tiptronic, could the paddles from the 250 be made to work with the 300's tiptronic set up?

Just an outloud thought, no plans to actually do it! (much as I'd love steering wheel control for the audio!)

The paddles would be cool for the 300, bot the leather wouldn't match

The leather wouldn't be much of a concern - my wheel barely matches my (half) leather anyway (the wheel leather, although not worn, is shiny compared to the seats)

Just noticed from the pic, the paddles on the 250 wheel have an up paddle and a down paddle, and correct me if I'm wrong, the 300's tiptronic has buttons on both sides for up and down (up on the back, down on the front) ?

yup, down on front, up on back. and there not the easiest buttons when you have big thumbs and you have to adjust your hands for going up as its not quite in finger line, paddles would be so much easier, it annoyed me when i had a 250 for a day during a service. i wanted to transplant it into mine there and then.

If you wanted to use it to controll audio you can fit a car pc and wire it up through a joycon control module which senses the resistance value of each switch and you program the pc to respond to these commands
Eg
Next track
Previous track
Volume up
Volume down
Pause
Ejector seat
It's All down to imagination

I have a joycon ex although not being used in the same application as what you are saying its designed for what you want Smile
