ARGH! One of my mirrors stopped folding all over a suddent (and unfolding for that matter) been working fine up to now...makes the buzzing noise but does not move at all...suggestions anyone?

Bit of WD40 in the gap MAY help,

if not take it off and apart and give it a good clean.

yh bit of wd40 as stav suggessted and just make sure theres nothing in between, i made the mistake of trying to open them just after it snowed and they got stuck and closed only because the iced snow was stopping it

yh bit of wd40 as stav suggessted and just make sure theres nothing in between, i made the mistake of trying to open them just after it snowed and they got stuck and closed only because the iced snow was stopping it

Update:

Was going to follow the advice and got the WD40 and all the tools ready...but opened it and closed it manually first, then pressed the button just to check and it works fine, admittedly the faulty mirror taking a tad bit longer to close or open (maybe 1 sec max)...
