How do you clean/wash/polish a carbon bonnet ? to keep it as good as new , i have seen some misting/fogging on some and i dont want it to happen on mine due to me doing it wrong , thanks .

Remember reading / hearing some thing about that but cant for the love of me mine what.

But I'll try and find out.

Ok if its got a clear coat then just treat it like the rest of the car as normal as in wash and wax

Ok if its got a clear coat then just treat it like the rest of the car as normal as in wash and wax

only decent advise would be that it will need ultra violet protection, a finish coat of plenty of wax, tech2 wax by megs or hidef by autoglym, uv is the main cause of fading, use decent microfibre clothes as **** towels= **** scratches, hope thats some help

Dave has it a clear coat or gel coat finish do you know mate? if its clear coated it should be just like paint, soft cloth to dry after a wash, soft polish or a detailing spray to finish, using a soft microfibre towel to polish off? Gel coat IIRC is a bit softer so have to take a bit more care? Just don't use anything abrasive on it mate ie: T-cut or cutting compounds :thumbup1: Bet your motor looks sweet with it fitted too:thumbup:

Been having a good search for you mate and quite a few recommend Meguiars NXT Tech Wax liquid for carbon fibre bonnets that are Clear coated :thumbup1:
