My findings on cheap lowering springs
My findings on cheap lowering springs
The springs i'm talking about are the ones sold by race dynamics for £100 on ebay, Not sure if they make them but they quote part number 80.3501 on their advert.
I bought these due to breaking one of my front springs and i did not know what make the old ones were as they were fitted by previous owner.
The springs are advertised as 40mm lowering springs, i cannot confirm / deny this as my one was lowered before, but my car is certinaly not as low as it was on the last springs:thumbdown:
Old lowering springs i removed (ones that were still in 1 peice) Front ones 12 inch, rear ones 13 1/2 inch
Replaced with new lowering springs, rear springs 14 1/2 inch
Front springs 12 inch
They fit no probs, but allthough the front springs are the same height as the old ones, the front of my car sit's a little higher (but new ones will be stiffer i suppose), but the rear springs are a full inch taller, so my car looks ALOT higher at the back:cursing:
Final height road to arch at rear -25 1/4 inch
Final height road to arch at front - 25 1/2 inch
Just incase anyone was thinking of trying them out!
You will have to wait a few weeks till they settle in mate, and they will probably be a bit lower by then. Just wait and see mate
^^^ what Moley said.
