Well done Saraj Glad you were able to fix your car along with your sisters.

It does give you satisfaction when doing some thing well especially when you question your own ability.

Good one Saraj!

Before I bought the IS, the most I could manage was filling the windscreen washers up

Paying a lot more attention now though, thankfully a number of people on here are very helpful...

Nice one Saraj

Marsdendean I want to start doing more on mine inc servicing and fixing little bits. It's just the confidence factor really. Going to attempt a oil & filter change soon as i get some spare cash and a walk throu!

1. Put something under car to catch oil. Helps if the car is a bit warm, not so hot that you burn yourself with the oil though
2. Undo sump plug and wait while oil drips out
3. Undo oil filter, wait while oil drips out
4. Put on new oil filter, which if it's a proper Toyota/Lexus one will have fitting instructions on it
5. Put sump plug back in with new washer (should come with the oil filter)
6. Put new oil in

Now there's nothing stopping you
