Don't think its that loud, but not heard it up against anyone elses, so can't judge.
Get saving mate and do the job right, if you get the one off ebay, you going to have to spend money on it again at some point.
Buy new and then its done, only reason that I suggested it, is because its cheap. :p
I have the Cobra one, which is the best quality one I have seen.
