Couple quick questions...
Right,
I noticed there's been some slight scraping coming from the rear nearside of the car, mostly over speed bumps and stuff. At first I though it was just crud from the road in the wheel arch and the tyre was just rubbing it, but I had a look and there's something hanging down back there.
It's too dark to get a decent picture of it, but basically it's just in front of the rear wheels (not exhaust side) - is this likely to be something important? I'll try and get a picture tomorrow in the light, but awkward to get down to as well...
Also, discovered that there's an annoying squeak when I push in the clutch pedal today - sure it wasn't doing this the other week, so maybe this will clear itself up?
No idea what could be hanging down with no description or pics , could it be
Give the pedal a spray of WD40 , but not the part you put your foot on hock:
 Thanks Moley... ever helpful!
It looks like some part of the under shielding, it's right by the inner wheel arch trim, but until I can get a decent pic... it might as well be bananas
Are you suggesting the wd40 get sprayed on the lever the pedal's attached to? That sounds like something even I could cope with
Well, I got under the car yesterday with the rear wheel off and it looks like a bit of the under shielding was cracked, and it had folder over itself, hence the scraping over speedbumps and such.
I just realigned it and shoved it back into place, no more scraping...
WD40 on the clutch has worked as well, so a touch of rep for the MoleMan
Well, I would, but it won't let me unless I find someone else to rep first. So someone do me a favour or something...
you could do some cable tie stitching on the cracked bits to stop it from coming loose again just drill a few holes each side of where its split and zip it together.

toxo If you've used WD40 you'll find it will wear off, so your squeak will come back eventually. Best get some grease or spray some 3-in-1 on it.
