steering rack bushes x 3 arriving tomorrow, job will be done without removing the rack along with some swearing.

front LCA bushes ordered from the USA (look exactly the same as TRD just a different sticker!) and arriving next week.

update... steering rack bushes changed in about 1 hour, very easy job to do.

some guides i found suggest using a hammer and a drift to remove the bushes, i dont like this as it puts a fair bit of stress on the rack and there is too much movement in the rack for it to be effective.

use a selection of M10 bolts, a 32mm socket/spacer and a selection of penny washers and you can draw the bushings thru and re install them with ease.

cut the lip off the old bushing for removal and for re install use a bit of wash up liquid and you need to get at least half of the bushing lip into the hole before drawing it thru.

job done.

clunk is still there though but the rack only moves a bit now ( it will, as its held by rubber) and steering has been slightly improved.

for the front lower control arm bushings go to

http://www.topspeedauto.com/ProductCart/...oduct=2721

give them a call and speak with George... 2 complete sets of bushings for all 4 control arms and the express post with USPS was $140 £85 super pro bushings for 1 set of arms are about £160!

George will work with you to help with the customs :whistling: :thumbup1:
