I was looking at different things that might be fun for meets and one of them was Karting, since most of us are petrolheads :whistling:

I have spoken to Teamsport in Crawley and got some figures. They have a superb 3 level track which has to be seen to be believed !

I was initially enquiring about a team even with exlusivity to OJC and it is possible, but ranges from £45 - £55 per person and while the whle session will last 2/3 hours, indivisual track time may only be 45 mins or so. But could be a cool thing to do some time DETAILS

NOVEMBER 20TH
However, thought maybe first if enough members were interested we would just go for a Sunday 4.00pm - 9.00pm unlimited session where the full open track is set up with groups and everyone just rotates. They do gaurantee 90 minutes of actual track time as a minimum on these. The cost of this is £35 per person and everyone does get printouts of track times etc as well I believe.

I propose if enough are interested we could do this event first and maybe a proper Team Grand Prix event in the summer time 2012

So, everyone who is interested, check your diaries and lets see how many might be up for this on November 20th.

Sadly, yes, for some memebers it just won't be practical, but if it goes well, it is something that could be arranged in different areas of the Uk at decent tracks. Plus, if it goes well, I have an idea of organising a "weekender" in Brighton, accomodation, meet, karting, night out etc etc

Would the kart track in Daytona, Milton Keynes be closer to more people?

"Life's goal is not to arrive safely at the grave in a well preserved body. But, rather to skid in sideways........
totally worn out and broken, shouting 'Holy ****, WHAT A RIDE!'"
