It would need to be wireless and be able to stand up to the elements .
Has anyone used these before and are they any good ?

I'm needing a Driveway alarm so that when a car or person comes into my drive an alarm / chime like a door bell would be sounded inside the house.
It would need to be wireless and be able to stand up to the elements .

some powerfull flood lights that detect movement would be good for the drive and would put anyone off coming in at night..you can also get a pressure pad that goes underground so when it senses pressure it chimes or auto gates with a telecom system

You could invest in a 4ch or 8ch wireless camera system with audible output upon trigger these come with night vision to I have them at the company's office you can also get it to send a txt upon trigger along with log in from mobile device like iPad iPhone etc
You can get outdoor beam break sensors that can be linked into your house alarm on entry point one which can normally have a chime programmed to it or to an additional alarm system etc

We've been looking at installing CCTV lately and the systems we've looked at offer this facility - as long as you don't mind the cost might be useful to have CCTV as well so you can see what triggered it

We don't have a house alarm at the moment but we will be looking at getting one. Our neighbours are about a mile away. So at the moment just something that would tell us if someone came into our drive. But the system with cameras will be getting fitted once we are at the doing up of the house stage.
