So I dont need to take the circuit board out ?
The bulb holder is solid with silicon !
I dont want to brake it
incase anyone is interested, i managed to do my stereo, see below, the backlight in the stereo in now bright green. all i need to do now is the heater controls like you guys have done and i think im all set!!

i need the harness for the heater controls so i can check it for sure before i send it, anybody have the plugs from the harness handy or going to the scrapyard
Well I managed to get the bulb holder out and turned it round but the lighs for the numbers etc are still not working. I'm going to take it out again and give it another go
you did remember to plug in the cable ribbon again ?
they should all work as i tested them all working on my bench, if not i will find a heater loom froma uk car so i can test it before i send it out, and you can post it back to me and i will make sure it's working as it should before i send it out. pain not having the same type plugs on my car, would be easy to just plug it in and test it. but i will find away moley
Ok its 95% there now , I took the holder out again but the silicon came off.
I got the wires back in the holder and now the numbers etc work.
Only thing now is the clock lights up but has stopped displaying the outside temp and time .
But I think it only needs a small dunt or two .
I must say its not to bright in the daylight just right . :thumbup1::thumbup1:
And yes I did have my lights on when testing it :tongue_smilie:
