Yeh Raj get a grip man !!!!!!!!!!!
you know you want to go
Hoping to have two more cars to come with us. One belongs to a lad that runs a local MOT station who has a Twin Turbo Audi A6 quattro diesel that looks nice and the other is probably a Ford Fiesta belonging to someone from work.
Once they tell me if they are in definitely then we can book - but if they take their time then we can all just book and they can book themselves afterwards - don't want to hold anyone up.
I have also been thinking of which car to take - my BMW Diesel or the Evo.
Head says BMW.
After talking to Gord (he took a similar car a few years back) it took him 2 and half tanks of fuel. Lets say 3 tanks to be on the safe side - that is around £210 in fuel and the car is far from a standard car and I would enjoy driving in it all the way (comfortable, quiet, economical and goes like the clappers etc) but it is not going to be quiet the same buzz as the Evo around the ring.
Heart says Evo.
After asking on MLR (Lancer owners club) been told to budget around 7 - 8 tanks there and back which is around £500+ in fuel. Plus would always have to buy the super unleaded stuff and its not as nice/relaxing on the motorway as the BMW (Evos have short gear ratios) and obviously its going to suck more juice BUT it should be awesome around the ring and I would love to take it on the GP circuit too.
The other thing to think about is that it is not just about taking a car to the ring, you may only do a few laps on the ring but 80% of your time is driving around normal roads where again the BMW would be the more sensible option........ but then I am there to enjoy myself so don't always have to be sensible.
I will have a think and see what is best for me closer the time..... :Bazza:
Well Anees I will use about 2 tanks just to get to where you start from, but I could always take the puma !!! but I'm not going to.

Anees, the whole reason for going is the track, so youve got to take the best car for that.
Its just an inconvenience that its a large distance away.
