Thanks for the warm welcome folks, I really appreciate the comments! :thumbup1:

Seeing that this is a Japanese car club, I thought I might as well introduce two older cars that may be of interest to some of you: a 1982 Datsun Laurel C31 SGL, and a 1989 Nissan Skyline R31 Passage GT.

I'll start off with the Laurel. She's the first car I've ever owned, and is currently in hibernation at my parent's. She initially had an L20A engine, but was later upgraded to an L24E from an R30 Skyline.

I had the pleasure of owning this old-school Skyline back when I was living in Australia for a couple of years. She's powered by the RB20DET motor, and was a fresh import from Japan.

This JDM-spec R31 was rather interesting for its day. For a car from the late 80's it had the following features:
  • Electrically adjustable dampers
  • Auto-wipers and auto-headlights
  • Climate control
  • Motorised driver's seat
  • Keyless entry and parking sensors

Needless to say, I really do miss that car.
