How much does each Goverment employee get for London Weighting allowance i tell you
Inner London Weighting Allowance: currently £4,000;
Outer London Weighting Allowance: currently £2,960.
No wonders our goverment are flat broke that and Euro MPS & Goverment expensive.
PLease dont mention that we pay between 20% & 25% of our council rates on there council workers pension's
But the money saved by moving thesepeople out of London would give us so much needed money back into the coffers.

It is a fair point, but don't get me started on that or this will quickly move on to one of my major bugbears and that's council houses in central london - why on earth to people living off our money get to live in prime real estate in the heart of london?
I had to pay serious money to have a place in the city, so why are they living there rent free and not contributing to society in any way.........move them out of london, turn the council housing into private housing and central london will suddenly become a lot more affordable.......

Really? I hadn't even heard that, that's exactly what gets me about this country, the wrong people receive the benefit of our tax money.........what for though? Is moving from one free house to another such a stressful process?

Lexusboy I lost my brother a few years ago and had to sell his property in Grays Essex.
I am guessing i must of had twenty different people from London coming to view his place and each one had be given this lump some from the local council to relocate.

That is unbelievable, I had no idea they were giving away money like that (on top of what they already give away). I really hope I get an opportunity at some point to leave this place as it is getting to the point of being too bad now, don't expect any special treatment but would rather live somewhere where at least my tax money isn't being used to make my life more difficult.

Not anymore, you had to buy one and register it by the end of 08 I think, and even then it was only valid until 2010.

Yep I was actually looking at that earlier from a similar thread over on loc - it does appear that Boris may have reversed Ken's crazy plans so buying a hybrid does make a lot of sense again if you live in London.
