Agree with the above Meguiars is good stuff . I have used this many times.

But when the stuff is not good anymore then I'll move onto Blue Tac .

Use a hoses and a light mist spray or a spray bottle with water and some car shampoo mixed with it

Lexus IS200 Mods--TTE Supercharger, Tein Superstreet Coilovers & EDFC, 6000K HID Lights, HKS Silent High Power Exhaust, DBA Front Discs, Kenwood DNX9240 Head Unit, 19" Rims, TRD Kit, FIGS Bonnet Struts, Greddy Pillar Pod & Defi Gauges, TTE Red ARBS . And Been To WIM twice

Lexusboy You really need the spray that come with this product.

Not really sure if water will do the same thing, as i dont know whats in the spray

The megs quick detailer is brilliant stuff, although I read in a detailing forum ages ago that you can mix some soap/car shampoo with water and use that.

cheers guys-bandits one sounds good and has a good rep plus i like the "quik" bit as im a really lazy old goat at heart but the bilt hamber one is cheaper and you get four times as much and u use plain water with it - tbh momey on this is not the issue so much as i dont really want to over rub the paint or take the paint off etc - i had a bad experience last time i tried mopping with farecla on one of the plastics on my motorbike - lesson learned on that score- you cant mop plastics ---- kam as you use the bilt hamber one do you use regular or hard - is it reasonably idiotproof ?

Just like I said in post 12 :tongue_smilie:

You cant go wrong using the clay bar , it wont damage your paint work.
But if you drop it on the ground you must bin it and use a new bit, this is very important :Bazza::Bazza:

yeah thanks mr mole i had read about that- i was tipped to break the bar in half b4 u start in case u drop it-ie maguirs + 2 x 25g or the bilt hamber 2 x 100g - well cheers for all your advice- bearing in mind aaron and kams cars are both black which must surely be the hardest to get right i think im gonna go with the bilt hamber one - which one do you use though guys regular or soft ?
oh and its gonna visit a paint shop soon anyway to sort out a small trolley dent and scratch so im not really after perfection at this stage more of a good going over to see which bits of the car to have done when it goes in the bodyshop

The clay bar only removes surface contamination's, it makes the paint work feel smooth like glass. you cant see the difference once it is done. but you can feel the difference with your hand. It also makes polishing / waxing / washing and drying a lot lot easier. Why not try the blue tack option first, and see if the results are what you are looking for.

Then spend the £25 you have saved on some Stella :drink::drink:
