Moley Well you also need grit guards for your buckets.
And you are better of with a lambs wool wash mit for the car and a microfiber one for the wheels.
You also need to use sealant after you polish it , then apply some wax after that.

Grits guards are a matter of personal preference. All they do is encourage you to put your hand at the bottom of the bucket where the grit and **** is. It's much better to just keep the mitt in the first few inches of water.

I had no intention of buying a grit guard until I got one for a bargain 2 quid, so use it in a 16L bucket but I still only keep the mitt in the first few inches.

You can use sealant or wax after polish, again it's personal preference. As long as there is no bonding issues you can use one on top of the other. I have dodo juice purple haze pro (wax) on mine but I top it up with red mist, which is a sealant.

Keep it simple so:

Foam
Wash
Rinse
Dry
Polish
Wax Seal

Polish & wax are differnet mate, polish takes away the swirls & small surface scratches, wax will seal your car paintwork.
If the surface is rough to the touch after wash/dry then you need to clay or prepare your paintwork.
If in doubt PM Christian on here at Invisible Touch he is the resident expert. Good luck

Cheers

^^ agreed its alot,

but if i get my car washed by the poles every 2 weeks at £8 a go, it would work out more over a year than investing in the products and doing it properly myself Smile

Thanks Bobby, very simple answer but super helpful Big Grin

Is that £8 for just a wash or are they doing something else too?
