Congratulation to the both of you
Congratulation to both of you, you never know it might be twins hock:
jay_russell well was at the swiss trip this year and was talking about a possible swedish trip for next summer. the good news is that a friend is just about to shop a racetrack here in sweden and will be doing race track sessions for a small charge.( 45 pounds for 3 hours ) track time and this could be a good day out with bbq etc for the day. there are plenty of car shows going on in the summer as well as americian classic car shows etc. was also thinking of going down by the river and possible camping over the night if people want. just wanted to put it up there to see what people think and might want. also going to try for another swiss trip this year as this years one was very good.I'm in! :w00t:
please contact me if you have ideas etc about this

yer well i put the camping up there just in case. lots of nice rivers to camp out by but if not along the gota canel which is very nice. the track is about 300 km from me, he did say what one it was but i forgot. will ask again and try and plan it. can also find out what boat if any runs to sweden. there is a truck boat but no passanger boat longer. will find out if you can travel on it and how much it costs and from were. i think it's harwich or newcastle but will look into that soon. thanks guys for all the congratulations. hope it's not twins as i will be selling the car if it is.......:crying: but patrik that will be good if you can. also you can look into some car meets here in sweden for me and let me know whats on so dates can be added
I'm up for this!
any pics of the track?
here is some info on the track ( kinnekulle bana ) this is what it's called
you can google for it on google.se
Kinnekulle Ring is a very fun track to ride on. You do not have to struggle with the car but it is rather a question of having your tongue. Sometimes you also heart in her throat, the railings are close to the runway and there are some parties where the blind goes considerably further.
I ran a few different cars on Kinnekulle. It began with the commissioning of a license ultrasur Volvo 244 with B23A engine. Then his father Jeguar Lotus Seven replica. The next exercise was Endurance racing with a not particularly acidic, Volvo 240 and several banträffar with my Mazda Miata -91. In total, I drove about 400 laps on the track. For the basic knowledge I have of course, I would first like to thank my instructor SVKG Elmon Larsson. Interesting discussion and comments I received from Peter Calas who is an instructor in SVKG / Porsche Club Sweden and Kenneth Ekstrom running Kamas Cup.
It can attack Kinnekulle in slightly different ways depending on what kind of car you drive, I hold myself entirely to rear wheel drive car with front engine, Lotus Seven or Miata. A 911 requires a different driving style that best obtained through participation in PCS banövningar.
START-1:
From the start and finish straight, direct-track greatest challenge, the left curve in the bridge. The exit is blind which makes a good overall grasp of the curve. It is early, already at the site of the final have placed the car on the right side of the track to make the weak start swinging & målrakan as short as possible. Just remember to not cross lines at the terminal exit! The last piece of shrimp is inconsistent with problems of visibility in Seven car, you get blur in my eyes! If the officials are lax should be placed right wheels outside the white runway markings, the extra asphalt on rallycross track which makes it more extra inches width of the entrance.
1-2:
The method I prefer in this plot is to slow down in full in a straight line, get off the brake right where the edge of the selection starts, and then turn on the gas pedal fully to get some 'power' in teas ". Straight after the curve is long and the sooner you go on the gas the faster on the straight. An early apex is preferable because it is a weak touchdown under the bridge where you can get a little extra pressure on the wheels. The last bit of fall since and the car runs out slightly to the right. By having full, it is relatively easy to cope with the curve because you can always turn the steering a bit more if you have opted for hard and scrub off some speed. To release the gas is, however, not recommended! Train to be silent, run slower on the straight and "teach in" in the spinal cord to gasfoten shall be at the bottom. FOURTH is across the road.
The snacks are often nonsense about how incredibly fast you drive over the bridge, but the truth is that it is always interesting how quickly you come out of the curve, at least as far as in this case, a long straight right.
3-4-5
The next curve is left curve. You spend a long time in the curve and is followed by a straight, making it important both to get a good output and making good speed in the curve. In addition, the uphill, which requires that you have to get the momentum in the entrance! The principle is similar to a so-called "Double apex" bend but unable asperities leaving me a bilbredd right of the entrance apex. Put the car up to the left of the straight. Width increases used in driver training is a great reference points for braking. Brake hard and change down Third placed gear. Intake (4) is very uneven, making the car reluctant to steer. Here I use the so-called success "Trail braking", ie to keep the brake in the entrance of the curve to balance the car. A flat entry through the bumpy field and then run it out to the left (5), then full throttle out of the curve at a very late apex (6). Limited slip has benefited from this.
6-7
The output is great when the car shooting speed and g-forces tearing at the body ... Somewhere here I switch up to fourth grade, which is a bit difficult. I usually adjust the track a little to not at gassläppet Letters will make the car unstable. At the very end when the hill is changed to a downhill slope is a transverse edge of the runway. (7) It appears bad but trust that it feels like when 40 kg complete Ford rear axle leaves contact with the runway for a moment! Solution one is to momentarily run just right over the edge, two solution is to not go all the way to the left in the end. In the middle of the track is the edge were lower. Solution three is to buy a car with a real rear suspension. Miatan with its double wishbone is not affected at all by this! A good symptom of an early apex is that you can not apply the solution to one or two.
8-9-10
We will have to rush to get the car to the right side before going into the kick that leads back under the bridge.
Another blind left curve, however, is relatively simple when the problems will not be until the end. Braking, downshifting to third gear, then to the apex at the end of the runway markings, then let the car drive off all the way to the right edge and then go straight over the crest of the curve out (10). If you can should try to get the car to the middle of the track before crossing the crest. Usually, this bad if the car is reasonably fast ...
11-12-13
Slow down again in a straight line up the left edge (11). Both the Miata and Seven can easily stop when braking action initiated after the crest, while long-distance race-240: an demanded that the brakes began even before the crest, which places more demands on driving. Control up pretty early to apex (12) then down the hill ends in the middle of the curve and gives a little extra pressure on the wheels. Dots to apex gives impetus to clean out the left edge (13) exactly where the runway markings are used up. It is moreover a quite juicy hole where it ends so do not run to the sign!

Now the real challenge to the runway, television bend. This curve is technically very difficult and when I took my license here told my instructor that there are as many ways to get the curve as there are drivers and there appears to be well. Personally I think the curve is very difficult and has spent some time trying to figure out how to drive. There seems to be a number of "main track" that works. I must point out that none of them are mine! Try all and choose what you like best, that is what lets you run closest to the border!
TV-1 variant medium difficult: This is what I learned on the course and the method I like best. Keep up the right (A) and make a long entry (A2), this requires a little nerves because it goes fast and railing on the right hand is near. Aim to pass over the crest of an entirely straight line on the left side of the track (B). I usually take the opportunity to change down while since you still can not slow the car with Seven over the crest, rear, reaches namely reboundstoppet when you next fly over here. Then of course requires a downshift technology mellangas (heel and toe), otherwise you lose the rear end when you land. You get a great entrance to the right curve © and not risk losing your car when you switch from left-to right turn as you drive straight for a short time
TV version 2 - easy: It keeps the left and the brake at the (A), turn the car around at the (B) and then gives full over the crest ©. Variations of this is to put the brake and tangent points later in the curve (B2), see dashed line. With Miatan Seven and the car feels very safe. Input speed is higher because it is right in the beginning but you have down to a lower speed. Good for overtaking, also gives me the right input. . This method seems popular in Porsche club and obviously works well for some trans-axle cars as Alfa Romeo and Porsche 944 My personal theory is that it works best with cars that have relatively better braking / acceleration performance than handling / document, this variant is probably not easy with a 911
TV version 3 - Advanced: This goes over the crest (A) with fully developed lateral acceleration, which requires courage and above all much driving skill when you first pass the crest during the swing and then have time to slow down and throw the car to the right turn (B). In addition, you sacrifice a total input of the right curve © but afterwards it goes extremely fast in the left. The most distinctive user of this track that I was speaking with Peter Olsson as an Opel Kadett totally dominated his Kamas Cup heats. Running on a person who uses this track would also be hopeless! Father and son running Berger same principle, with its Ford Escort (dashed line) but they do not run out to the right without compromising anything by staying in the middle of the track and thus not sacrificing the right curve just as ruthless. Watch and marvel! I have tested this track and feel "Berger variant" as fastest but we are not big margins if the car hits giregenfrekvens and therefore we do not learn out of this variation on the driving courses. The drivers who are training enough of variant 1 will be automatically hit when he / she increases the input speed.

When happy and well-managed TV challenge is the time for the next curve, a simple right to be on the third-place AC. Braking, steering into a late apex, then full throttle down the straight. If you have problems here we should look for the cause of the TV curve. The railing on the left hand is very close to the track error is punishing. Shrimp is actually quite long so a good initial speed is important.
16-17-18
Full brake, turn (16) and m over the edge of the highlight of a very late apex (17). Paddock bend is extremely important as it leads out of the start and målrakan, and every bit of speed you can get with you counted all the way to the bridge. Go late in the curve and be patient, go on the gas early and try tangentially first left which marks the edge ends (18). A limited slip differential make real miracles in this plot. An overly aggressive entry pays off with poor initial speed. Exemptions apply to a qualifying lap and last lap, when the control pin to the finishing line may be more important than good speed before the end of the bridge ...

Run the iron, it is the easiest of all! The gas in the ground and shovel the bills while you are frustrated that the Caterham with Zetecmotor chasing you round the course pulls ahead by about 20 feet now that the power of the engine begins to have meaning. Then you avflaggad ...
