Marsdendean ^^ problem with those you would get uneven pulsing ie one flashing more than the other, and there was even people who had them flashing going around corners hard.

The unit stav has is good, it flashs when you brake, then waits 20 seconds or so before flashing under braking again iirc

Only problem with cheaper leds some you can't tell the difference between delights and braking as Phil01 will tell you

I have seen what you described with the hard cornering. It happens because the system in those LEDS is purely a bearing

But there is a module now which is electronic and can be installed very simply inline with existing wiring. That doesn't have the old flaw of pulsing under cornering and braking at the same time.

I must be getting old. I just like my brake lights to come on Smile

I think I'll spend £30 on Lamin-X and see how I get on.

Thanks

Marsdendean Ah I've only seen the ones that flash all the time or wait a set time. I was looking at doing mine on a switch, just need a diagram on how to wire it

But.. if your beaking hard.. are you going to have the time to go looking for a switch Confusedcared:

Otherwise why not just pump the brakes like a knee trembler with a fat bird :w00t:

it's the "old" driver behind you or the rep to busy ruddy chatting on his mobile that always worries me :crying:

These pulsing systems are now been installed on new Mercs and some BMW's in Europe etc .. so it won't be long before that is then here in the UK on a variety of cars.

Same principle as DRL's.. They will be required on new cars in the next year or so by law.. Smile

Sorry, brain caught up.. realised what you actually mean.. :o

You want something installed so your lights will work as normal unless you flick a switch which will then make them pulse etc at a show, when you brake Smile At, least, I think thats what yoSmileu meant.. Huh

you can buy pulse units from the US and with taxes and delivery probably work out about $40 at most i reckon. But there must be some alternative here in the Uk ?

Marsdendean $40??? I paid about £8 for the flasher unit but wi flash overtime I brake

£8 is roughly $14 so thats excellent. I have never ordered them myself from the US, so was guessing the units were probably $10 then add delivery, then customs tax and worst case was my thought of $40.

To often with anything from the US we get clobbered for high delivery costs and then the cheeky tax man has a bite of the cherry too upon arrrival:cursing:
