ive finally arrived home, and yes i must admit i had a sense of fear as i got to the start line of Santa pod, looked across and saw a.............Reliant Robin.
I raised the revs (not using launch control), bit the clutch, and held the car still with the handbrake.
The tree changed, i drop the clutch put the handbrake down, a lot of bouncing as though the wheels were trying to spin then nothing, lots of revs and going nowhere.
a small cheer went up and i was pushed backwards off the line and out a side gate.
Got a spare box and clutch here though so loaded them into the boot at the garage and all should be back on the road by Tuesday, then to inspect the damage of the box and see how to improve it.
