el_bandido Even when you do want to go a bit higher, you can put a TT head gasket on and up the boost a little. Safer to change the pistons though. 2JZ engines really are amazing bits of kit.

mines got a procharger supercharger mate i got all of jimxms kit from him when his engine went and gave way so i know im in dodgy teritory til i can get the engine and pistons out, havent looked at the xspower kit, they are cheap till the delivery price gets added then handling fees and then 20% vat on top it soon all adds up to being expensive
I will probably get told I'm wrong here, but I'd also consider an altezza rs200. You'll get a few people who say they want leather and cruise control. But you get same power in a lighter car and still get a lsd. And more importantly you can have a manual box.
As far as I know you can get lots of tuning bits for it, as jdm bits are available too. I've seen and heard of big power from these engines.
But you might as well look at all the options as there are a few engines and gearbox's available in this shell.
mattlaw A little off topic, Dino have you looked at the xs power kits? The Americans seem to like them, but they're so cheep

yah the ffim is a good looking bit of kit
James has a good point, considering you can pick a Lexus half leather interior up for peanuts on eBay it's a good option.
oh yeah totally agree the tezza is sort of in a league of its own in that respect
hmm good point john, i wasnt thinking of the engine, but if your were to build and turn a tezza or a 200 into a sort of 300 replica in terms of looks the tezza would probably be the better base model to work from if you cant get an original 300
