Fog light wiring issues!
Fog light wiring issues!
Ok so I traced that wire through and it goes to a relay, which is connected to several other relays. It's the one on the far right:
If I disconnect it, I get no lights at all. This is all a little complex for me!
Plus what little electric tools I do have are at work.
I guess if I trace back to where this relay interrupts the factory wiring and remove the interruption I should return it to stock? Though that is harder than I make it sound!
Rabster Mate that's a mess
I can also see the clifford wiring in that pic lol

Stoney As I say, quite jumbled up in there, and access is bad.

toxo Also there are loads of funny rules about lights on the front of the car - illegal to have both dipped beam and main beam on at the same time.

Hmm, I agree with what your saying, rip it all out, return to stock and go from there
Colin G Really????? That's standard on most cars with seperate bulbs for dipped/main. Its definitely standard on the IS.

You could just cheat and run some wires from the stalk to your own relay then directly to the headlights. That way you can get you MOT then sort it out properly.
