it's just that i'm really not risking taking the car out unless I can get it back into our close as I really don't want to leave it road side again.

Well all's well thankfully, the snow's mostly gone and I didn't get a ticket or anything - car's safely back in the car park and have said I'm leaving early today whether it snows or not as I want to get it back home

Now running standalone Syvecs ECU and no stock ECU !
