LEXYNIK incidentally ive told a couple of mates to join on here as theyre both car nuts-one has a uprated subaru wr1 and the other a highlift diesel warrior with rear seats removed and mega ice install- i presumed they would get a warm welcome over here

By the way, I think what you're describing is "tramlining".
thanks for that-yeah it doea kinda feel like that "tramlining" you kinda plot your course or aim at an apex on long motorway bend and all of a sudden you feel like the cars trying to go elsewhere-ive noticed it happening as the suspension loads up and down ie when you go over the brow of an incline and the dip of an incline as well as mostly all the time when on bypasses etc
as for tyres a friend has recently upgraded his rx8 from 18s to weird multispoke grey chromey kinda things, not sure what size they are but not my cup of tea-anyway im hoping to grab his old 18s like stavs if i can agree a deal with him-not sure its worth putting em on this green 200 though,i might put em away till i get a kitted 300 in a better colour
thats a shame im there 12pm tuesday
yeah yearly checkup, cos i fitted new coilovers
Did you get the work done LEXYNIK ? How did it go, and how is the car handling now ?
hello mate-yes i got it all done yesterday at wim ! the car was honestly a different car to drive on the way home despite the traffic being bedlam and managing to dodge the massive potholes in the roads near wim!!!! (people must of thought i was mad but after spending £400 with parts and labour,no way was i gonna destroy my fresh geo by clanging up and down massive potholes)
i realised that by the time i got back to brighton i was relaxing my two handed death grip on my previously very untrustable steering wheel,to the point that i was actually happily sailing along at 70mph with just one hand lightly holding the wheel !!
all the knocking noises have gone too and i can now hear just the loose change in my ashtray clinking occasionally.
I guess it will take a while to get to know and trust the car now as i am still half expecting it to attempt to drive off a perfectly straight road for no reason or try the oncoming traffics lane for size-which it used to try to do a lot.
Overall i am very impressed with wim and tony and im glad i heard about him early and made the effort to get up there and get it done by people who are competant as i have heard allsorts of horrer stories about other companies and their work.
My gf asked me if i would go back to wim (as they are a way away) i would and it will probably be soon with a mate with a 55plate rangey with a huge appetite for munching up expensive tyres that the main dealer cant cure.
by the time i got home last night i just had time for dinner then had to go out to a two hour night course so was too tired to really go for a drive and appreciate the handling on empty roads but i will be less tired and stressed today so will im sure love it even more.
A big thanks to tony at wim and anyone reading this who feels their lexus seems to have a mind of its own and is wonderin if they need to take their test again !! fear not FONE WIM !!!!
