toxo Also, if you're using iridium plugs you need to be VERY sure that you don't keep them in the engine a minute longer than the manufacturers specified service life. We have lost 6 MR2 engines on IMOC recently due to iridium plug disintegration and they were all past their shelf life.
So what is the life span of the IK20s?

Not sure really. I think Denso rate them in mileage. I am only guessing but I imagine the mileage is a lot more important, there's not a lot going to happen to them (in terms of deterioration) just sitting there, only in use. I guess perhaps if they were 10 years old or something then it might be different.

Cool, its only been about 2.5 years, i guess they should be ok considering the OEM ones last 60k/6years
