Well then you would be silly not to use it, what is the cost per litre at the moment where you are, me I pay 111p
Marsdendean All our shell near us and Tesco use this fuel, its either that or v power.
Can't agree with parth thou,I tend to drive everything flat out, more power just means quicker!!!!

I think as you get older and boy am i old:laugh: I leave for work in the morning and take my time to get into work.
If i was to drive flat out then i may make 2-3 minutes over the 12 miles i travel to work, so for me it not worth racing as you are harder on your car and on your wallet.
Maybe thats why i get 25 mpg but horses for courses.....:thumbup1:
Phil01 Well then you would be silly not to use it, what is the cost per litre at the moment where you are, me I pay 111pIt's 114p unfortunately, if I go a bit further get to a Morrisons and Sainsburys which is cheaper but can't really be bothered, plus I prefer using Shell out of the three.
Marsdendean Can't agree with parth thou,I tend to drive everything flat out, more power just means quicker!!!!Lol, to be fair I'd like to be driving flat out in whatever I'm driving too, but in London it's pretty hard to get a more powerful car flat out that often

2tongues I have!!!
The Prius gets on average 51mpg on Tesco fuel and 53mpg on Shell. Thats with my normal everyday drive so a fair comparison. On the way to JAE with a fully loaded car A/C and blowers on, stereo loud, all lights on etc it did 56mpg because of the slow moving traffic. Can't complain.
OK 2mpg isn't that much but as they say every little helps!!
Indecently the MR2 runs better on Tesco High Octane fuel then Shells or BP's.

I know that but it does have an effect because it runs the traction battery down, therefore eventually there will be an effect on gas mileage - there is no such thing as free energy but your right it has far less effect then a traditional A/C system.
well not really as when your poodling along backing off the throttle braking etc that charges/regenerates the battery more than what the a/c uses the only time this is wrong is when your not moving the engine will kick in sooner than without it on...
your lights stereo etc are powered by the 12v battery.....
Well I only use Tesco 99 and if I cant get that then its V - power.
I have to drive 20 miles to get the tesco stuff and 35 miles to get V- power.

I only use v-power or tesco super or whatever it's called.
My return is around 22mpg or 16mpg on the private roads
