Dark Samurai No mate. Raw files are like 5mb :p
What you mean about the process thing? I don't have photoshop either Sad

That's nothing, mine average 10-12mb each. You telling me you don't have the hard drive space to store them? You don't need to keep them all, just the good ones Wink

You really are missing out if you let the camera process the jpgs itself. Think of a RAW file as the equivilent of a negative, it's the photo in it's RAW state, how you took it but unprocessed. The jpgs are what the camera has processed for you, how it thinks you want the photo to look.

Alot of photographers use Lightroom (although I don't have it) and some use Photoshop like me. You open the RAW files in this and can adjust the white balance, contrast, saturation and so on. When you've finished you can then save it as a jpg, so you've processed it yourself rather than letting the camera do it.

You can do alot of that in windows photo gallery, ok for the odd touch up or two.

Maybe a good idea to have a photography meet up Smile We amateurs can ask you gurus some stupid random questions and we can all get some decent piccies of our cars lol

After Santa Pod and Modified Live in June, there's not much going on in July/August so maybe a meet up, BBQ, photoshoot, would love to get some good pics of mine and Mike's together and some club ones too, also a good chance to meet other members and a good ol' chinwag, without (hopefully) distractions of exploding cars etc. lol
