I don't like the bolted on version myself for me the lines have to be clear and blended into the body work.

You could always bolt it the other way mount a captive nut inside the arch extensions fill and paint etc so all nice and smooth then bolt from inside the arch keeps it all hidden then at a later date have them blended to the car ?

So, you would see the line of the arch on the wing, but wouldn't see any bolts or indentations where bolts are as such ?

IMO, the bolted look works if the rest of the car is aggressive (which yours certainly is). I'd go for that considering the price difference and then later down the line if you want to go the smoother look just get them bonded on and filled?

IMHO the MR2 is a sleek bodied car, with great flowing lines, to "bolt" on wheel arch extensions is so wrong - it will make it look like one of those god awful Nissan 200 drift cars. Just blend the arches in or at the very least fill and paint the bolt holes. Getting the white paint to match will not be easy - white is notoriously hard to colour match.

£2500 is a very high quote, £1000 £1500 would be more reasonable, I got the Yellow one repaired (including a load of panel blending, and colour matching 4 wheels), and painted for £1000 and that was the nightmare Sirius yellow.

The work will now get done in the next few weeks. Although the arches won't be blended, they will have no bolts or holes etc visable and they will sit as flush as possible to the car with a couple of little modifications to make it all work...

Now I need to sort the tyres for the Alloys..

That will look awesome mate, i do like the bolt holes showing on arches but the look of the car has to be right and it does not seem to look right on the pics you posted up

How is the car going to handle with those big wheels on ?, im guessing not as well as the 18"s

I am hoping it will look right when done.. But your right about the handling, basically, even with 18's an MR2 does lose handling ability... However... I have given this some thought and done some homework on it.
I found that in the USA having larger alloys is not that unusual on some MR2's etc and obviously, they had the handling issues that went with it. So, they created Roll Center Adjusters for the front and rear, which brings everythiung back in line and answers the handling issues with bigger alloys.. Mine are ordered and just waiting for delivery from the US. Once i have them fitted and get all the GEO done, it should be fine

I forget which Rev yours is?

The USA stopped importing them at Rev2, if yours is Rev3+ will these roll centre Adjusters fit? The Rev3+ does have slightly different suspension.
