i cant comment on the part number but the price sounds about right,

yes its just a case of swapping the guts over to make it work i did the same in my Is200 a few years back

you could try calling Lexus Parts Direct you can find them on-line they might be cheaper than you can find on-line failing that give Toxo a shout he might be able to smash that price ?

Looks right to me. What Stav has listed as the 'original' one is 1999-2002 and the 'newer' one is 2002+. Your price looks right too.

what's the difference between the older and newer one mate? 5 inch or 7 inch i assume?

So, that's the right part number for the 7 inch housing and i assume the original top cover fits all ok?

Cheers for this everyone, I don't mean to sound thick!

Yep the newer one is 7"

And yes if just replaces the same bit on the older one and everything still fits to it.

So i need to order one from a 2002+ model to get the 7 inch.

*goes hunting for a 2002+ chassis number, as I've only got a 2001. Grrrrr*

Try saying to the dealer that you accept responsibility if it's wrong, they might not be such a pain in the **** then

not all the parts are the same you will also need the 7" housings cover as the slope on the sides is a different angle i think both parts will run you just under £100 if memory serves
