Spc Horsham where are they now????
Spc Horsham where are they now????
Yeah thats what always put me off about the SPC conversions is that they seemed to be all about headline power figures and from the dyno graphs I saw there was no extra power untill 3-3.5k rpm and then it dumped it all at once as the turbo spooled. Not something I wanted so stuck with the supercharger.
I'm very happy with my current turbo on the 1.8T Cupra which starts spooling at 1700 and is on full song by 3000 with the majority of the boost in by 2500. Got 222Bhp w 1.2 - 1.3 Bar boost the other day on my ODB based dyno thing (MAF / 0.8) .
Bandit Here's mine on the spc dyno at 328bhp... CLICK ME?
quite a few other vids on there of the is200's they have done?
Supercharged again now though

Also when I was in the 328Bhp one it was very jerky to drive as when you changed gears it dumped all the boost really hard and the turbo stalled causing the car to lose power all of a sudden and **** like the brakes had been applied. They were going to get round it with a diverter valve rather than dump valve but I never found out if that helped things.
Mikey is200/s13 if your wanting power low in the rev ranger then i would recomend the tte supercharger if you can find one and do some upgrades on that like Dimis check his tread in projects
