That hasn't changed Tongue I just wanted to do a little car Project so that I had a nice car ready for when I could drive, but obviously it turned out to be way bigger than that... and it's still ready for when I can drive Wink Big Grin

Having said that, I'm too scared of damaging it so I got myself a Renault Clio Alize and that will be my daily banger. Cheap to insure and repair and it's not getting touched at all by anything other than a Mop and Polish Smile

And thank you Smile

I have now finished my extended montage video to include the MOT and Japfest:

what i meant was how did you get it to japfest?

kudos on starting a club for it to, im not sure people would take me seriously if i owned a car i couldnt legally drive, but you seemed to of won some people over, most probably because of your dedication. when do you take your test?

Oh sorry mate, me being dense! My dad drove it with me as a passenger, it was a little worrying as she had to pass her MOT two days before and I had all the Tickets for the Club :O

Yeh that has been the biggest worry for me and starting the club, I tend not to throw it around as I don't like to put Members off, but those who have met me at shows know that I am 16. They seem to understand that fact that my age doesn't mean I can't run a club. So far I have signed up Opie Oils, Toyota, TRD/Fensport and Ninjashine a detailing company as Sponsors who provide discount parts for us - that being a huge part of the Club as people come to us to source parts quickly.

I'll be taking my test around August through September, I will really have to cram it in though as my gap years ends and college starts this September and I need to be able to get around as I'll be studying Motorsport.. Big Grin

Good on you for taking on such a huge project, without you telling us I would never have guessed you were so young, with so much work and such a well written post. Perhaps if more people your age took on such work maybe they would have more respect for their cars and licences, and wouldn't drive like complete ***** and give proper enthusiasts a bad name!

Yay 4AGE Big Grin Your car looks cool! I've got loads of time for people who drop themselves in at the deep end and take stuff apart to find out how it works (and put it back together again), well done. I've got a 1UZ sat around here that I need to build. I'm burying myself in research at the moment until such time as I can afford all the trick bits for it so we can probably help each other out quite a bit when the time comes.

Thank you very much mate Smile I totally agree about others my age lacking in respect for their cars and licenses. It drives me made when a Lynx sodden yob thrashes around a Jetta into a tree and I end up with the Insurance quote of £79000 when I put so much care and attention into my car.

I won't say I'll never be tempted to drive like an ass, but I can say I don't want to pay for when others do...

Lol we all drive like an ass sometimes but the difference between you knowing you're driving like one and choosing the appropriate time, or just showing off to your mates is huge and costly

Very true!

In GTi news, I should have some white and black vacuum tubing on order soon to replace the old grey/faded stuff that's currently clogging my engine bay Big Grin

It's £40 for 6 metres which will do all vacuum lines, not bad IMO. The step after that is to have the Main Hoses Replaced with black Samcos. I do have some standard black silicone hoses which could maybe sort my Heater Lines but the bends will prove to be a struggle...
