Manuals are OK for low power cars, like the IS200, powerful cars benefit from an auto - Sams purple Supra is insane boosting through the gears really doesn't "suffer" from being an auto.

Spot on. Which is why I think the UK especially is very pro-manual. Our top-selling cars barely break into triple figures when it comes to hp/tq.

[COLOR="DarkOrchid"]The benefit for mine being auto is I don't lose power when I change gear and its proven many times over in supraworld, on the same BHP an auto will be straight line faster than a manual because of this.

Even so, had I not fallen for the car I would have held out for a manual, driving for me is definitely more of a thrill if I feel more connected with the car. Not that at the power I have it's disconnected but there's an element of the driving experience missing for me personally... Although, since my rebuild, it's a lot lot faster and it is a good idea to be able to have both hands on the steering wheel as that second turbo kicks in[/COLOR]
