2tongues I suppose it could be the same with MX5's??? Never driven one they just look rubbish IMHO.

Aha, there's the problem. Looks are very subjective, but I guarantee that if you drove one you'd have a big smile on your face ! Haven't got much power but they handle very sweetly.

IS200 Turbo project now just about complete ! See my thread here and leave your comments.
Now running standalone Syvecs ECU and no stock ECU !

That may be the point, once you have driven fast 2 seater's that handle sweetly the prospect of driving a slow 2 seater that handles well is just not appealing.

No way can a 1.6 litre be better than 3.2 litres when both handle fantastic an MX5 would be in my opinion a downgrade from what we have had.

I have driven a boxster, a 911 and a 976 (think its a 976???) they where all great but never really did it for me! Boxster had great handling but i have never really been that keen on porshe's, don't know why? don't get me wrong they are great cars but not really my cup of tea.

I don't know what to go for yet. Mazda will be better on fuel i guess. But the 200sx will have the power and will still be pretty much the same on fuel/insurance.

The whole point of my changing car would be for a better fuel consumption so mazda or a 1.6 vtec civic i guess.

How hungry on fuel are the Type R civics?

Parkers quotes 31MPG combined for both the current shape and the old one.

I'm the same with the MX5, doesn't matter how good it is to drive (which I must admit it is) just couldn't bring myself to actually own one because of the way it looks.

I don't think that about the MR2 though, they look pretty good (especially the ones with the curved rear screen, not sure which version they are)

Don't by a scooby either the fuel economy is worse than the IS300 :Bazza: although it is great fun and the handling is better Confusedmoke:
