Absurd cost of a weekend pass for Modified live.
How can you justify the cost of £47 for a weekend????
Our internet car club and many others had made provisional bookings to attend that weekend, but once we found out the true cost to camp over for the weekend so many of us are now dropping out.
The word is spreading quickly amongst the die hard Jap followers and you will be loosing many attendee's,
Just a couple of thread replies pluck at random from our site,,,,,,,
Too much money for a weekend.
Being too greedy has shot them in the foot. (yes Dr J Palmer) that was aimed at you.
How can this event cost more than the nationally Jap scene recognised JAE, not even in the same category.

I will only be going on the sunday now and seeing as I only live 500yds from the front door any one who wants to go for the weekend is more than welcome to sleep over at mine, and I wont charge you for it haha,,,,,,,,,,

VIP tickets now??? does this include lots of free booze and a few hot passenger laps in the sumo power GTr? whats making these tickets so expensive compared to other shows?,,,,

Basically if you pay for a weekend pass which was the £38 it seems it didnt allow you to camp i mis read/ interpreted the way it was shown on the forms the £38 would allow you in to the show both Saturday and Sunday but you have to leave in the evening, which to me defeats the objective, i assumed with a weekend ticket like JAE and the pod it would allow you camping.....
I really dont know whats best to offer you guys as its a good show but the ticket price is a bit to high its more than JAE....
i will probably only be doing the sunday if im honest, the cub will still provide a Shelter during the day
it also sounds like you wont be camping on your stand like at JAE but in a central camping secured zone
the choice is yours guys,,,,,,,,
apparently they want £15 for over night camping on the saturday! on top of the £30 entry for saturday and sunday tickets!!! what a loads of money stealing, the hotel down the road is probably cheaper! plus phil only lives down the road im sure he'll let us sleep in his garden for half that price.
santa pod let us stay overnight for free come on Brandshatch SORT IT OUT, plus as theres a JAP only show at santa pod the weekend directly before this? what are they playing at?,,,,,,,,,
that i cant answer mate i think i will edit the tickets and remove the weekend bit i cant justify it for you guys....
what would you both like to do ?,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
im not too sure tbh mate i was really looking forward to this one but looks like may just have to cancel and settle for santa pod the weekend before, plus then we know its exclusively japanese cars,
Nicola i think we need an explaination of why the tickets are so steep?
surely all them corsa saxo drivers like who were at the fast show cant afford tickets at those prices or are their mums and dads buying their tickets with there first years insurance?,,,,,,,

It is hard enough getting members to be able to fill their petrol tanks let alone paying such hi costs for car weekend.

toxo I can see why the charge is there, they have proper camping facilities (showers etc) and 'evening entertainment' which I presume is a bar etc...
is it at least a ministry of sound night club tent with fuel girls etc etc... NOPE doubt it somehow, plus theyll probably charge £5+ per drink.
JAE's wickstead park and santa pod both have shower facilities also that are FREE!!!

Rabster the only thing i can say is the ticket price does allow you access from friday at 3pm onwards so those that are traveling do get the most out the weekend
but theres nothing happening on the friday night so whats the point?

as you all know the payments are done via paypal and we get charged for this we also post out your ticktes via 1st class
these all cost the club money not to mention envelopes themselves etc etc
we try to keep the costs as low as possible without the club loosing money an ultimately your enjoyment at shows suffering
should you wish for a refund this will be done
