my ex's dad had the rx8, amazing car, revs like a motorbike as well, apparently burns oil like no tommorrow though...mx5 does not look serious looks (rap like some sort of a soapholder, 200sx i think are wannabe skylines...rx7s are absolute mean but extremely hard to find one that hasnt been abused...type r civic would be my choice...1.6 vtec is fast and yet again revs like a bike specially with a spoon ecu but its not powerful enough Smile

P.s - i do apologise...S2000 all the way...how could i forget...looks and performance...yumm

Marsdendean I think the older Honda Civic Type R are better.

I love the RX8, just couldn't afford the oil bills or the stupid road tax!

The economy is also rubbish trust me, I was averaging 17MPG, never got it into the 20's.

A full tank of V power for my scooby costs just shy of fifty quid and I get roughly 220 miles. It works out at roughly 16 miles to the gallon, which works out at about 23 pence per mile.
Anyway, you don't buy a scooby for fuel ecomeny do you:wink:

If in doubt, FLAT OUT:thumbup1:

I had a turn up for the books the other day. I did 360 miles to a tank!

Tank is 55l so a full tank can be about £60 and I normally get about 275 - 300 miles out of it. This is only the 2nd time I have achieved 350+

Unfortunately I think 80 miles of it were done at 50mph on the space saver Big Grin

15 MPG if driven as it should be, and on the motorway 25MPG.

On the old diff ratio it wouldn't do more than 20MPG...........

russelllinn How did the RX8 compare with the Evo though Valo?

Different League completely.
The evo's 4wd keeps it stuck to the road and then there is far more power.
I'm not saying the RX isn't a good handling car (as it is), its just the 4wd is incredible.
What can I say, the evo has more power, better handling and bigger stopping power but has a bigger price tag, and its a proper 4 door saloon, rather than the half attempt back doors the RX had. And then there was the reliability issues with the RX, but I won't go there otherwise I'd end up taking over this thread with a rant
All in all lets just say I was unlucky with the RX, with the issues I had. I completely loved it while I had it, but wouldn't go back again.
