It does make sense mate. No point going all the way to London/WIM for the meet and then have to travel all the way back again home the next day just to set off for the Ring and have to go down all that way again.

We decided against the ferry because although their is no time pressure going to the Ring, on the way back it adds alot to the journey time when you consider Gord and I have around another 4-5 hours before we get home (and Moley even more!!!)

I am going to Auto-Serve after work today so I will try and work on Nadir to bring his car too. We need more cars ideally!! Just looks like two so far which is a bit low.

Come on Moley/Scottish members? Anyone else?

I also need to decide which car to take. I really would like to take the Evo around the Ring (and I am getting more used to it now!) but the fuel costs do concern me. I have taken it to work all this week and it costs me roughly three times in fuel compared to my BMW diesel and I would also quite like to take my BMW too (its no slough and has a few mods coming very shortly)...well a new clutch!

Marsdendean He's only 22 and hes on facebook!! ^^^^

The evo would be good Anees, take it because it may be the first / last time you can take it!

True - it would be awesome around the ring and on the Autobahns and like you said possible first/last time.

The other problem is it runs on Vpower only, so I need Shell garages all the way. Last year I don't remember their being that many about.

i know there's on just down the road from the hotel, as we filled up there a few times?? (if its still there?)

I'm sure you can get a map off the Shell website showing where all the garages are?

I know that Wikipedia isn't always 100% reliable, but according to this article (scroll down to the "Regional Variations" section, Germany pretty much has V-Power everywhere.

IS200 Turbo project now just about complete ! See my thread here and leave your comments.
Now running standalone Syvecs ECU and no stock ECU !
