I like the RX7, many different variants and body styles
The MX5 is a great little car has amazing chassis and handles so neutral but not that much power. It also has the image of a "hairdressers" car.
But also take into account that body parts will be just as expensive as your Lex

1990 Eunos Roadster in Mariner DU blue
Cobalt cat back, Decat pipe, 15in Red Rota GT3 alloys, Toyo tyres, Lowered on Coil overs, Red anti roll bars, 14degree timing mod, white dash kit, illuminated side marker lights,
Halo ring headlights, OEM windblocker, Bluetooth streaming HU, Blue leather handbrake and gear lever gaitor, Centre brake/tail light mod, Blue velour door cards, Polished cam cover, Polished front strut bar, 4xheadrest speakers, JDM floor mats, Suede semi dish steering wheel,

Two different cars.
Rx7 with the rotory engine can cause problems if not looked after, but a good car to enjoy if bought correctly.

Mazda 5 yes a hairdresser car but one of the best budget sports cars ever to leave Japan, this little car has the same problem that Lexus is200 have with the geo set up but Tony Bones can correct this also.

I think i put a buyer guide on the five onto the forum

RX7 will empty your pocket they are not cheap to run. Where as the MX5 is fairly cheap to run.

Out of the 2 I would have an RX7 though - as a second car though not a daily driver.

Tony Bones sells complete pre stressed coil overs for the MX5, so you change your suspension and then get your geo set up all for 1 price.

Pre stressed means no settling in time so your geo will be correct from the get go.

Lexusboy this little car has the same problem that Lexus is200 have with the geo set up but Tony Bones can correct this also.

I take it you are referring to the MK3, the MK1, 2 and 2.5 never had any issues.

I've owned a few MX5s over the years and bang per buck the most fun you can have in a car.

If you like big power and straightline speed then you would be looking at a 7 but B roads, give me a 5 any day of the week. Saying that, there are many many mods for the 5s that can give you some serious power but I've always believed that the power to weight ration is bang on.

The MK1 would be my choice, watch out there are many different specs, nothing major, mostly just trim but a couple get some really nice bits, different gear ratios, better wheels and so on.

I got this R Limited for my father in law, went a long way to get it but a ****** rare model.

Our first 5

2nd

and the last one

Don't worry to much about getting a 1.8 over the 1.6, the 1.8 is more user friendly on the motorway but on the B roads, no noticable difference.
