Rent or Buy. I think you can do it all on the TV, Go into itunes etc and get the films.

And its all stored on the Apple TV.

I was going to get one, but i don't really watch films that much.

Its a great system, but like Stav says once you buy the box you still got to pay for the films and programs you download.
You can probably stream anything from itunes onto your telly. Which is good but you will have to convert everything into the right format for itunes to recognise it (pain in the bum).
Depends what your wanting to use it for. If you want to watch movies you downloaded on your telly your better off using an xbox360 or a media centre.
If anyone needs any help with anything media streaming related let me know. I am a bit of an expert. :p

Depends I guess, for me personally with a PS3 as a media streamer and Virgin's on demand content I'm not sure what Apple TV (or the impending Google TV) would actually add.

In any case unless everything in your life is Apple, it will probably be more hassle than use, so a different streamer (or the google one when it arrives) will probably be a more universal option.

Yeah, PS3 is an expensive option to use as a media streamer though.
Stick with the xbox 360. Smile

Lol yeah obviously don't buy it to be just a media streamer - but not bad value considering it's a media streamer, blu-ray player and games console. Was reading that lovefilm is possibly tying up with the PS3 as well for the on demand content side of things as well.
