Really can make a difference as there as so many things that can affect your speeds but distance from the exchange can be a big one.

Tango Looks like all I have available in the area is:
* BT Wholesale ADSL
* BT Wholesale ADSL Max
* TalkTalk (CPW) LLU
Also states "However, there is another service on your phone line (e.g. ADSL, LLU, DACS, etc) that would prevent you from ordering a new ADSL connection."

sounds logical Toxo.
O2, Sky, Talk Talk, can only get around the problems inherent in BT telephone lines and provide you with a better service (bar customer support which just seems to be terrible everywhere) if the SamKnows site indicates that they have equipment in your local exchange (i.e. exchange is LLU/unbundled). Otherwise they will be just as ****.
I've heard O2 are ok. Personally been with Virgin for years and the service is great - pay for 10meg and pretty much all the time 10meg is what I get. If you can get it in your area it's worth looking into
Been with Virgin for a few years now Terry, never had any serious problems but you do need to keep an eye on the bills, ours are usually wrong so have to ring them to put it right? :Chair:
:offtopic: Yours son's only up the road from me then mate, if he's in Stafford
