Quick message from missB about this weekends tunnel run.

Hi all...

please see below... this is what I have been posting on the other forums I am a member on to drum up support.

Please post up something similar....
I managed to get 3 people from the s2k club off of it, so its worth doing.

Hello.. thought I would pop on again and see how you are all doing
Great response people..

Just thought I would give you all an update of things that are going on... There will be tunnel run stickers to buy (£3 each) on the night, we have done one for every run so you may see a few cars with a few on. A friend has also done a mix cd that will be on sale on the night for £1.50, we got the MissB memebers to suggest their fav driving tracks and we shoved it all on a cd.

There will also be prizes awarded for the best car of the night...
We have prizes from Route66bodyworx - http://www.route66bodyworx.com, Sky Insurance - http://www.skyinsurance.co.uk and of course MissBanzai - http://www.missbanzai.com

please feel free to ask me any questions.. or drop a mail to [email protected]

Oh btw over £1000 donated so far... this is the most we have ever raised before a tunnel run!

Now down to the serious note as to why we are doing this...

This is the write up from MissBanzai...

Ok so as some of you may or may not know some of the MissBanzai team went to meet the London Air Ambulane yesterday.
Gary (BigBoy) kindly spoke to the Air ambulance crew and arranged for us all to go and meet the team who we are raising money for on the tunnel run.
The team.. Me (BoBRabbit), BigBoy, MitsyFTO, SkiffleWiffle, Monkey, PhillWRC and Little Red jumped on the tube and headed for London.
We all thought it would be a few photos and then off we go... but it was so much more than that.
First we were shown around the helicoptor by a lovely aviation fireman, we then all clambered in to have pics taken with the helmets on etc.. we were just getting ready to have a group photot when the alarm went off for a shout.
We all stood back off of the heli pad.. and stood and watched the helicoptor take off, such an amazing site.
Whilst the helicoptor was attending to a stabbing, we were shown around the control room and all that goes into letting the pilot and crew know where they are going.

The helicoptor then came back and we met the pilot and the crew of doctors /paramedics.
We then chatted some more... and had some group pics taken.
After spending two hours showing us around it was time to leave.

What an amazing day, what an amazing experience and most of all what an amazing bunch of people the Air Ambulance crew are.

One of the facts they told us that struck home was everytime the Air Ambulance gets called out it cost nearly £3000!!!
Which is how much I hope we will raise with the backing of a few big companies.
Upon being told this I replied "our amount raised seems such a small amount compared to how much we will raise"
The aviation fireman replied "yeah but if you think in terms of if your £3000 pays for one flight and in turn they save one life, thats one person you guys has saved"

When put in to that context it made me feel like we will really make a difference.

Please remember that the London Air Ambulance get NO funding from the goverment... so please people dig deep for the tunnel run and donate, we will also have collecion pots on the night so bring your change.

************************************************** ************

I also stuck the pic of the team by the helicoptor at the bottom....

Please please put this post out there and get a final push for the tunnel run...
Only 3 more sleeps people!!!!
