not sure,
rear passenger door is stoved in, as is the sill,
thats the only damage i can see, not sure if there is chassis damage??? was only about 20ft from the roundabout at impact so couldnt of picked that much speed up surely?
How badly is the sill bent? If that's gone in too far then it could be written off.
Technically a write off would have you better off wouldn't it? Your gap insurance would cover the shortfall so you could technically settle your finance and walk away? Or does it not work like that?
^^ I dont know lol regarding the insurance, i think it works
1) i claim off my own policy and they pay X amount
2) whatever is left on the finance agreement Gap insurance pays
So in effect yes the whole agreement would be written off, and im left with no car
the bonus may be that this means my new finance deal would deduct the negative equity of the lexus perhaps making it cheaper?
Sills bent in about 6-8 inches, ill take piccies on next *** break
Yeah so effectively you could wipe the slate clean and get a new finance agreement, instead of having to deal with the negative equity and get stuck with a cr**py astra (no offence )
6-8 inches does sound like a lot of movement - no idea if it would have damaged the chassis though.
Make sure you get it done at Lexus mate you don't want it going to any old body shop go get three quotes if u know a good few garages get them to put the price up so Lexus don't seem to steep submit those to the insurers and stress you want it done by the stealership lol
Carpediem Probably an exaggeration of 6-8 inches now ive re-checked it, but still not good
