Cheers fella & fellow IS300 owner Wink

From what I've been reading there's no reason to change the torque converter at all. In fact the stock one is better than most aftermarket ones you can buy. There is however (don't ask me how) a way to change the stall speed by modifying the existing converter. Should cost £300-400 to have done rather than £1200+fitting.

I've yet to start asking about, but I'd imagine we'd need some kind of auto specialist - maybe someone who deals a lot with modded supra's or something?

As for the cams and other bits, it makes it a totally different car IMO. At idle the car sounds like a v8 due to the lope from the cams and I'm not quite sure at what stage in my mods it started doing this, but I get a fair bit of 'popping' when coming off the gas now (which makes me smile).

I've not had it dyno'd yet as I want to get a piggy back ecu so that it can be tuned at the same time. I'm probably not making anywhere near as much use out of the mods as I could be.

The butt dyno tells me it pulls quite a bit strongr now that before though. Especially when going from 50-80 on the motorway for example.

Yeah I'd love an S/C too. They seem to be like rocking horse poo tho (unless u know somewhere to buy?)

Not sure what ECU I'm gonna get yet. I've only had the car about 6 months so I've gotta kerb the spending a bit as its getting silly now. If i could just squeeze in an S/C and legana bumper I think I'd be 100% content with my ride tho :p

Have you seen B15RUP's supercharger install on his IS300 ? Might be worth looking into.

How about a turbo though, 2JZ is perfect for that, surely ?

IS200 Turbo project now just about complete ! See my thread here and leave your comments.
Now running standalone Syvecs ECU and no stock ECU !

I'll go check that out. Didn't know that anyone this side of the pond had done an SC IS300 :p

Turbo is just a bit too much hassle for me I think. I wanna take the car to a garage one day then have it back a couple of days later with all the kit fitted and no troubles. I think this is where s/c excels over turbo?
