Does anyone know where the mileage is stored is it on the ECU or on the dash board clocks,

just wondering .....

yeh best to find clocks from a car with as close to your actual mileage as possible, i'm sure theres software out there somewhere to correct mileage since its only on the clocks tho

Why is it held in the clocks? Surely it would make most sense for it to be a separate unit that is interchangeable (which I know some cars have) in case the speedo unit needs replacing.
