Auto owners - consider a grounding kit
Auto owners - consider a grounding kit
Yeah yeah I know, grounding kits are generally perceived to be a load of loblocks.
However after reading a few threads elsewhere about how it helps with shifting on the IS auto's I thought I'd give it a go.
So I grabbed a basic kit from ebay for £40. Its basically some guy cutting thick gauge speaker cable to size and soldering connectors on the ends, but that's pretty much what they all are.
Anyway, fitted it this afternoon and managed to get it installed without loosing power and resetting the ECU (so i could get a proper feel for any real changes). Here's what I noticed:
- Slightly smoother idle
- Quicker changes when using e-shift
- Slightly quicker at starting up.
- Ever so slightly improved throttle response.
Not bad for £40 I figured :p

Marsdendean You must be referring to the IS300, as the IS200 Auto does not have e-shift?
