Metal , think aluminium but have not tried the magnet test

If i polish them they will come up pretty shiny, but can give them a go if you want me to mate? you might just have to tone them down a bit with lacquer when you get them back? i'll give them a couple of coats of lacquer anyway so it gives them a bit of protection :thumbup1:

Just had another look at the pic's mate and they look like alloy? Have you got any fine wire wool? If you have give one a light rub down using autosol and the wire wool to see if it removes the lacquer? If it does and you start to see a shine to it, you can rub the lot down, give them a good clean with white spirit and then give a light coat of spray lacquer, if there too bright give them another coat of lacquer as it will tone them down a little with every coat you give them?
