I imagine the dealers must have a way of reprogramming the mileage if they need to change the clocks cluster.

parthiban Why is it held in the clocks? Surely it would make most sense for it to be a separate unit that is interchangeable (which I know some cars have) in case the speedo unit needs replacing.

All Toyotas and Lexus have only one location to hold mileage.
Its harder to reprogram as the entire cluster needs to be taken apart just to get to the mileage chip.

No im just selling the Speedo mate, so whoever buys it may want it correcting to their current car mileage as it reads mine (about 110k i think)
