Absolute disgrace though, remembrance day is all about remembering those who have lost their lives in battle for whatever reason, if they haven't already they should have arrested all of them and locked them up for the day at least for inciting racial hatred.

Religion is an excuse though, war is about money or power. While I feel that we never should have gone to Iraq, Afghanistan was necessary as otherwise it would have made 9/11 and 7/7 acceptable.

yes war is bad but unfortunatly it is a neccesity of life. Wars have been fought for hundreds of years., for land, profit or religon no one reason is an excuse but it happens and when it does all we can do is stand by and help our soldiers and their families to get through the tough times.
i was in iraq when a good mate of mine was shot. but if it was not for his bravery myself and the others in the vehicle would have been shot also i owe my life to him and those who have died or been injured for our safety.

Yes wars are a necessity, but i still believe it should only be necessary to defend our land and not make "pre-emptive" strikes
we were fooled into iraq and afghan by the USA scaremongering with the whole "they are harbouring terrorist WHO WILL COME AND KILL YOU GOD **** IT"
i honestly believe if we didnt bother with either country then we wouldnt of had the terror attacks on home soil, or MP's being knifed at seminars
we will be invaded Iran next because of their nuclear programme and the yanks not liking the idea of someone being mroe powerful than them, the USA will feed us some bullshit of "one press of a button and britons gone"
what reason have iran got for blowing anyone up other than those that intentionally try and invade them?
personally if i had nukes, and someone plundered my land, i'd blow them sky high, if they left me alone i wouldnt????????????????????????
whilst certain wars are justified, many are not and these ones are not
fortunately their are brave soles out there like your friend who are willing to sacrifice themselses to save others
