Irritatingly the rumours that this would lead to the speed limit being raised to 50mph don't seem to be true though as the signs say 40mph on them :Sulk:
On a lighter note, I saw one of the signs being put up, and the guy had parked his flatbed truck next to the post, had put his ladder up on the back of the flatbed, climbed up and was installing the sign! Wonder what health and safety would have to say about that, to be fair he was wearing a high-vis jacket though :lol:

Sadly it looks like these are about to go live - they were putting up the "average speed check" signs yesterday, the words have been obscured for now because the cameras aren't working but you can tell what it says.

How many time do you see these Road maintenance Lorries blocking off the roads with cones and all flashing orange light, only to see a cab full of men doing nothing.

It's even more annoying when they cone off a lane or two and there's not even a single person or vehicle there!
