Book into a cheap hotel in Dover evening of Tuesday the 7th (Premier Inn special offer or travel lodge or something)
Ferry bright and early morning of the 8th, blat through France to the campsite

Thursday is practice, pit walk, generally chill out

Friday is Mad Friday, silliness on the Mulsanne straight has been less and less silly over the last few years, but there was a big car show in St Saturin (was Corvettes this year) which is becoming tradition
:drink: Friday night, big car show at the chateau with astons, porsches, ferraris, nobles, lotuses etc. Last year I got my first sighting of a V10 convertible R8 and the Lotus Evora here.
Saturday through Sunday is the race, obviously people kinda do their own thing here. I'd recommend getting up v early if you want to be there for the start as the queues get a bit epic from around 10am. Personally I choose to watch the start from the TV in the chateau and then make my way down to the track when it's a little less busy
Night racing is more fun to watch anyway, and it saves getting stuck in a traffic jam with a hangover.Monday for recovery from the party Sunday night, winding down and packing up.
Make our way back on the Tuesday morning/lunchtime for an early evening ferry back to the UK.
It coincides with the Canadian Grand Prix again, they will show this at the chateau for us (but probably with french commentary and advert breaks).
I expect you will want to know about costs... as per everything else they've gone up this year!! At the moment it looks like:
Ferry £60
Accommodation £85ish (€96)
Parking ticket £41
General entry ticket £75
So before petrol etc you're looking at about £261. I think with food and fuel and drink I ended up spending about £500 last year.
You can prebook a parking ticket (I'd recommend White car park but this sells out fast) and your general entry tickets via Just Tickets. In the past I've only booked the parking ticket in advance and bought the general entrance ticket on the gate as it's cheaper.

Tickets go on sale today for the biggest motor racing event in the calendar. I'm proposing a Wednesday -> Tuesday trip, 8th to 14th of June comprising something like this:

As a small team we are always looking for extra supporters and if this car club would like to adopt us as ther official team to support i will see if i can get some goodies later in the year to give away..
